It is our common ground.
Let us unify ourselves first. A man must be whole before he can invite another into his tent. Without the love that binds us within, the door remains heavy and the hinges rusted.
If we do not stand together, from the markets of Benin City to the farthest farms of the Ovia forests, it will be difficult for the world to stand with us.
We must be clean in our purpose.
We must be strong in our charity.
We must repair the walls of our own house and sit together at the same table in peace.
Then, and only then, can we throw open the gates.
Brothers and sisters, let us find this charity.
Let us find this love.
Let us become the heritage we claim.
For when we are truly united, our greatness will stand like a mountain the world cannot ignore.
Now is the time, let us rebuild our home first.

Prince Joseph Ogiehor,
Self-Appointed Envoy to the Benin Kingdom in Diaspora
