More than a century has passed since the Benin Expedition of 1897 stripped us of our sovereignty.

One hundred and twenty-nine years is a long time for a people to wait.

Yet history teaches us that no people who remain united in purpose are ever denied their future.

This moment, therefore, is not one for hesitation. It is a moment for courage, for collective responsibility, and for deliberate action.

The task before us is great, but so too is the strength within us.

Let us move forward together in unity and love as one people, with one voice, and with one unwavering vision.
